Students develop range of specialist sporting skills
Our students have had the opportunity to experience a number of new sports this year, with St Paul's successfully securing funding through the Australian Government Sporting Schools initiative.
One example has been bringing in a specialist coach from Hockey NSW for students in Years 3–5 to develop their skills and knowledge of the game.
The opportunity has given students of all abilities a chance to experience a new sport, with the coach adapting the activities to ensure full participation from all the children.
What the students said:
"I liked learning new hockey skills because I have never played it before."
"Each week the activities changed and that made it more fun."
"My favourite was the games that helped with my reflexes."
"It helped us get all our energy out!"
"Each week we got better and improved."
